윈도우8.1을 설치한 소니바이오노트북(무선1, 유선1)을 티브로드망을 통하여 iptime N604V를 통하여 연결하여 사용하고 있습니다.
얼마전부터 윈도우 탐색기에서 네트워크->네트워크 인프라에 Ralinkaps라는 외부 장비가 보입니다. 기존에는 당연히 저의 장비인 N604V공유기만 보였습니다.
제가 Ralink칩을 사용하는 장비를 가지고 있지 않은 관계로 관련 Ralinkaps장비의 맥주소를 확인하고 무선검색툴로 주변을 검색하였더니
!!:!!:66:6a:71:10 (외부 iptime장비 wps not configured)
!!:!!:35:5e:68:28 (Tenda 장비, wps not configured)
라는 2개의 외부 공유기 장비로 판단되었습니다.
궁금한 것은 왜 제 네트워크에 외부장비가 보일까하고 보안문제가 없을지에 대한 것입니다.??
참고로 iptime에는 전화를 해 봤고 만족할 만한 답변은 들을 수 없었습니다. 물론 구글검색도 해 봤구요.

결론은 심플합니다. 윈도우에 WPS(Wi-Fi Protected Setup)기능이 있고 특정 조건에 의하여 WPS가 가능한 장치 목록을 보여준겁니다. 따라서 연결 된 것이 아니기에 문제가 될 수 없지만 보지 않기를 원한다면 윈도우 WDS서비스를 끄면 됩디다. (서비스-> WCNCSVC (Windows Connect Now) 정지)

이곳 저곳 물어봐도 처음 보는 현상으로 모르겠다는 답변이 대부분이었습니다. 오늘 구글 검색중에 http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/2c3ac8f7-5d33-48a0-80e5-4a7238c228dc/unknown-network-device-visible-under-network-infrastructure-when-wireless-adapter-of-workstation-is?forum=w7itprogeneral 에서 공유기의 WPS(Wi-Fi Protected Setup)기능이 보안상 그다지 믿음직하지 않으니 꺼 놓는게 좋다고 하고 윈도우의 서비스 기능중에 WCNCSVC (Windows Connect Now)기능이 WPS와 동일한 기능으로 관련 기능을 가진 주변 공유기를 네트워크 인프라에 표시할 수 있다고 하여 WCNSVC서비스를 정지 하였습니다. 현재까지는 Ralinkaps가 보이지 않습니다. ㅠㅠ Go to details and group the items according to discovery method, then check the rogue device. Is it WCN (Windows Connect Now)? This is Microsoft's version of WPS protocol. It's supposed to automatically configure devices on your wi-fi network, but will detect a nearby extra-network device and list it under your network infrastructure. As long as you're using a strong security key for your wlan and disable WPS on your router, you're in no imminent danger of being compromised. In fact, it's your neighbor's device showing up that is vulnerable. WPS is inherently unsafe (the PIN can be hacked fairly easily) and it's advised that you should disable WPS (or similar auto-setup feature) on your own router/devices. In the meantime, open Services and disable WCNCSVC (Windows Connect Now) and see if the rogue device disappears. You don't need this service and can always configure things the old-fashioned way.
